My View Of The World

I have always held some strong opinions on the world around me, be it the right for gays to marry, how to drive "properly", or how to live green (something I did long before it became chic). When I look at what the world has become and where it's headed it scares the hell out of me. I read news stories about utter stupidity (Like the lady who was finally hauled off to jail after 40 traffic violations) then read comments from people defending the stupidity. I watch drivers go 0 - 50 in about 4 seconds after a red light turns green only to slam on their brakes a quarter mile later... at another red light. I hear about politicians, athletes, and other "role models" who screw up - time and time and time again get their third and fourth and fifth chances with no repercussions and it sickens me. I know there are other people who think like I do, but they seem to be few-and-far between. I hope that my views and ideologies can infiltrate the masses and make the world a little brighter place.

I don’t think the world is necessarily a bad place but I do feel that most people fall way short of what they are capable of accomplishing and they often lack Common Sense. Common Sense isn’t as common as the name would have you believe, humans need to learn this skill like they would any other. Ignorance shouldn’t be an excuse, and ignorance of Common Sense is no exception to the rule.
